Shares of manufactured housing companies ended 2007's first week of trading lower, with Avondale Partners analyst Kathryn I. Thomson downgrading Champion Enterprises Inc. and noting weakness in the manufacturing housing market.

The Eastern United States experienced record amounts of rainfall and many site-built homes sat out in the rain, the lumber becoming waterlogged with no work being preformed. At the same time the modular home industry was producing houses at a record rate while local builders were staring out the window hoping the rain would eventually stop.
Panelized construction is simply the process of making wall sections in a factory instead of out at the construction site. Once the panels are finished at the factory they are numbered and then transported to the customer's site. Depending on the size of the panels, you may need a crane to help
