Because of the popularity of modular housing many manufacturers that build, .HUDManufactured Homes. (sometimes referred to as mobile homes) are starting to offer hybrid manufactured homes or modular homes (On-frame and Off-frame). The HUD segment of the housing market has suffered some major setbacks and overall numbers are steadily going down. Five years ago this industry sold over 265,000 HUD-homes and today this number is around 170,500. Many popular companies like; Destiny, PBS, Skyline and Excel are slowly moving into the modular housing industry.
